Otter Creek provides convenient access to the upper Yellowstone River near Big Timber, Montana. The site features a functional boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger watercraft onto this scenic section of the river. Located along Highway 89 between Livingston and Big Timber, it's one of six major access points in the Paradise Valley area.
The facility includes vault toilets, trailer parking, and camping amenities (7-day stay limit). The site is open year-round and offers beautiful views of the Yellowstone River valley, making it a good base for day trips or extended paddling adventures. Note that the area has limited shade, so plan accordingly for sunny conditions. The site is primarily known for fishing access as well, so expect some boat traffic during peak seasons.
