About This Access Site
Otter Slough Conservation Area in Dudley offers multiple access points to Cypress Lake and Otter Slough Lake for paddlers and boaters. The primary facility features a concrete boat ramp at the area headquarters, along with 21 additional unimproved ramps throughout the conservation area. This makes it an excellent option for kayakers and canoeists of varying skill levels, as you can choose from multiple launch points depending on your preferences.

The conservation area provides excellent amenities beyond just water access, including primitive camping, picnic areas, and three fishing jetties. Cypress Lake and Otter Lake are both open to boats, including canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Be aware that all standard state boating regulations apply—including registration and safety equipment requirements. The area also encompasses the Otter Lake Natural Area and Bradyville Natural Area, making it suitable for paddlers seeking a more natural setting combined with good access infrastructure.
