Pace Bend/ Tatum Cove

Located in Pace Bend Park approximately 30 miles west of Austin, Tatum Cove provides a convenient boat ramp for accessing Lake Travis on the Colorado River. The site features a one-lane concrete ramp, courtesy docks, parking, restrooms, and picnic facilities. To reach the ramp, take Texas 71 west to RR 2322 (Pace Bend Park Road), turn right and travel 4.6 miles to the park entrance, then turn right on Grisman Trail to reach Tatum Cove.

The ramp accommodates all types of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, motorboats, sailboats, and jet skis with no restrictions on vessel type. Paddlers should note that water conditions can vary, and recent advisories have cautioned boaters to be aware of debris in the area. The site includes a campground for those planning overnight trips, making it a good base for exploring the broader Lake Travis system.
