Pacific City Landing is a concrete boat ramp providing motorized and non-motorized access to the Nestucca River near Cloverdale in Tillamook County. Located off Sunset Drive in Pacific City, this county-managed launch serves as a gateway to the scenic Nestucca River system and is positioned near where the Nestucca and Little Nestucca Rivers converge. The ramp accommodates both kayaks and canoes as well as larger motorized vessels, making it a versatile access point for various watercraft.
Paddlers launching here can explore the 1,202-acre Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon's largest coastal refuge. The river corridor offers opportunities for wildlife viewing, particularly waterfowl and raptors. The area provides good camping options nearby, including Castle Rock Group Campground and Hebo Lake Campground (both reservable), as well as dispersed camping at Derrick Road, making it convenient for multi-day paddling trips.
When planning your visit, note that this is a public county launch and may experience tide and seasonal flow variations typical of coastal Oregon rivers. Check conditions before launching, especially if you're paddling downstream toward the estuary and bay areas, where tidal influence becomes significant.
