Located on the west side of Palestine Upper City Lake near Frankston, this public boat ramp provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. To reach the ramp from Tyler, take Texas 155 south across the lake bridges, then turn left on FM 2215 and right on CR 4117. The access area features one boat ramp, two covered picnic shelters (one 20' x 28' and one 12' x 15'), two uncovered picnic tables, and parking for approximately 50 vehicles. Bank fishing access is also available at this site.
Palestine Upper City Lake is a recreational impoundment offering calm water conditions suitable for paddling and leisurely boating. Beyond this public ramp, paddlers and boaters should note that the lake has multiple access points; more than a dozen private marinas and resorts offer additional boat launches and amenities if needed. For extended trips or services, nearby options include Flat Creek Marina and Big Steve's RV Park and Marina on the south end of the lake (903.825.3295).
