About This Access Site
Paradise Point State Park offers a primitive dirt boat ramp providing access to the North Fork Lewis River, located approximately 2.5 miles upstream from the lower Columbia River near La Center. The ramp is conveniently situated just off Interstate 5 (Exit 16), making it easily accessible for day trips and longer paddles. A Washington State Parks Discover Pass ($10) is required for entry.

**Important considerations:** The boat ramp is very primitive and water-level dependent—it may become unusable during low water periods. Paddlers should check conditions before arriving and be prepared for a rough launch. The park offers camping facilities and bank or boat fishing opportunities on the river. While the park provides natural woodland settings, nearby freeway noise is noticeable. For current conditions and additional information, contact Washington State Parks at (360) 902-8500.
