Located at mile marker 66.1 on Kentucky Lake (the Tennessee River dammed section), Paris Landing State Park Marina offers a well-developed access point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The facility features a **free, three-lane boat ramp** capable of accommodating vessels up to 72 feet, plus the option to hand-launch small boats from the shoreline for exploring the lake's quieter coves. The marina sits on the widest section of Kentucky Lake (160,000 acres), making it an ideal starting point for various water activities on this major waterway.
The marina provides full support services including non-ethanol and diesel fuel, pump-out facilities, fishing bait and tackle, ice, supplies, and refreshments. The Tennessee River at this location is a substantial waterway—a major river system (Stream Order 9) with significant flow averaging nearly 70,000 cubic feet per second. While this section is dammed into a lake, paddlers should be aware of the river's power and respect changing water conditions. The 841-acre park also provides shuttle services and overnight accommodations, making it convenient for multi-day paddling trips.
Nearby paddling opportunities include exploration of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge's three units stretching 65 miles along and around the lake, as well as access to numerous small coves and inlets perfect for kayaking and canoeing.
