About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Located on Lake Daniel in Stephens County, Texas (approximately 65 miles northeast of Abilene), this boat ramp is situated at the south end of the dam off FM 2673 west of Sattler. The site features a one-lane concrete ramp with parking capacity for up to 25 vehicles. Primitive camping and picnic facilities are available on-site.

**Conditions & Considerations**
Lake Daniel covers 950 acres with a maximum depth of 42 feet, offering opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. Be aware that the ramp becomes largely unusable when water levels drop approximately 10 feet below spillway level—a four-wheel-drive vehicle may be necessary for launching under low-water conditions. Paddlers can access Gunsolus Creek from the dam area, with additional drop-in access available along the creek channel in a small cove upstream from the dam.
