The Parker Dam boat ramp provides access to the Colorado River in southwestern Arizona. This major river, over 1,000 miles long, has an average flow of over 14,000 cubic feet per second and an average gradient of 8.7 feet per mile. The river is classified as a 10th order stream, indicating it is a large, headwater system flowing to the ocean.
The boat ramp is located on the Arizona side of the river, about 16 miles south of Lake Havasu City. This is part of the Parker Strip Recreation Area, which offers camping, hiking, and other water-based activities. Nearby, the Copper Basin Dunes OHV Area provides an off-highway playground. Kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats can use the ramp to access the scenic Colorado River corridor.
Please note that the boat ramp at the nearby Buckskin Mountain State Park is currently closed due to safety concerns. Boaters should check the latest information before planning their trip. The nearest campground is Crossroads Campground, located within 10 miles of the Parker Dam access site.
