Paulina Lake Lodge offers excellent boat launch access for kayakers, canoeists, and trailered boats on Paulina Lake, located within the Deschutes National Forest in the scenic Newberry National Volcanic Monument near La Pine. The facility features a dedicated boat ramp suitable for launching both hand-carried and trailered vessels. Note that there is no beach access at the lodge itself, but a day-use area outside the campground provides additional kayak and paddle boat launch options. The lake has a 10 mph speed limit, making it ideal for paddling and non-motorized recreation.
The lodge operates seasonally (summer and winter schedules vary) and offers amenities including on-site dining, a store, and paddle boat rentals (kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards available). Several nearby campgrounds—including Paulina Lake Campground, East Lake Campground, and Little Crater Campground—provide lodging options for extended visits. For specific information about current hours, services, and conditions, contact the lodge directly at (541) 323-1746.
