Pearl Lake State Park offers a convenient boat ramp on the western shore of the lake, providing access to the calm, wakeless waters of Lester Creek. The ramp is located in the lower day-use area and is open during park hours. Amenities include a short dock, as well as water and vault toilets nearby.
For paddlers and small boaters, Pearl Lake is an ideal destination. As a headwater stream of the larger Lester Creek, the lake sees relatively gentle flows averaging just 14.68 cubic feet per second. The creek's average gradient of 275 feet per mile ensures a relaxed, scenic paddle, with the surrounding Routt National Forest providing a picturesque backdrop.
Anglers will also find the lake and creek rewarding, as USGS data indicates it supports a medium-sized river ecosystem. However, please note that a day-use fee is required for access to the state park. Nearby campgrounds, including Hinman Campground and SEEDHOUSE CAMPGROUND, provide overnight options for those wishing to extend their time on the water.
