About This Access Site
The Pee Dee boat ramp provides access to Blewett Falls Lake, part of the Pee Dee River in Anson County, North Carolina. This is a good launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats looking to explore the lake and upper reaches of the Pee Dee River.

The ramp is located close to the Blewett Falls Dam, off Boat Landing Road just off Highway 74. The water depth in this area is generally shallow, around 0-6 feet during normal conditions, though it can reach 15-30 feet in front of the dam at full pool. Boaters should be aware of rocks and other potential hazards, especially downstream of the dam.

Those looking to continue paddling down the Pee Dee River will need to take out at the Blewett's Grave Access site further downstream, as the river is not navigable through the dam area. The Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge offers additional opportunities for wildlife viewing and exploration along the river corridor. Anglers may also find good crappie and other fishing in the early spring months around the lake and dam area.
