About This Access Site
Located in northeastern Minnesota near Orr within Kabetogama State Forest, this public access site provides entry to Pelican Lake via County Road 11 (turn right onto North Drive and follow signs to the access area). The site features a well-maintained boat ramp with ample free parking and accessible facilities including pull-in/pull-through parking spaces with wheelchair accommodations, picnic shelters, and picnic tables. Note that this access is gated during summer months and operates as carry-in/carry-out only during peak season.

Paddlers and boaters should be aware that swimming is not permitted at this particular access point—DNR-Pelican Beach, located northeast of this site, is the designated swimming area. If you need alternative boat launch options, Jones Bay Access is available on the northwest side of Pelican Lake off County Road 4. This location provides good access to the broader Pelican Lake paddling and boating area for fishing, exploration, and recreational water activities.
