To reach the site, head north on County Road 11 and turn right onto North Drive, following signs to the public access area. This access point serves as a gateway to Pelican Lake's recreational opportunities and nearby attractions including the Mississippi River Headwaters areas at Cross Lake and Gull Lake. Note that swimming is not permitted at this access site. An alternative launch point, Jones Bay Access, is located nearby on the northwest side of the lake off County Road 4 if this site is unavailable.
