Peninsula Campground offers direct water access to Olallie Lake, a large, high-elevation lake in the scenic Olallie Lake area of Jefferson County, Oregon. The campground features a boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and other non-motorized watercraft. As a no-motorized-boats lake, Olallie Lake is ideal for paddlers seeking a quieter experience with excellent views of Mount Jefferson and surrounding wilderness.
The campground is only open late June through early October due to high-elevation snowpack, so plan your visit accordingly. The adjacent Olallie Lake Resort offers additional services including a small store, boat rentals (canoes, rowboats, and pedal boats), and primitive cabin/yurt accommodations. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, making it popular with anglers. Note that swimming is not permitted on the lake.
