**Location & Access**
Peninsula Public is located on the north shore of Rimrock Lake just above Tieton Dam, accessible via US-12 W from Naches (approximately 22 miles), then Forest Road 1200/Tieton Reservoir Road for 2.9 miles to Forest Road 711. The ramp provides convenient access to Rimrock Lake, a reservoir formed by Tieton Dam on the Tieton River as part of the Yakima Project.

**Conditions & Considerations**
This is a developed boat launch facility with typical amenities, though the Forest Service charges a launch fee. Paddlers should be aware that windy conditions can make launching difficult, and debris washing onto the ramp may occur on blustery days. The location works well for kayakers and canoeists seeking a manageable launch point on the larger reservoir. Multiple public and private campgrounds are available nearby, including Lost Lake Camping Area, Hause Creek Campground (reservable), and South Fork Tieton Dispersed Camping within 10 miles.

Rimrock Lake is part of a reservoir system in the central Cascades that also includes Bumping and Clear Lakes, offering diverse paddling opportunities from the sheltered waters near the dam to more open sections of the lake.
