Pennington Mine Lake

**Location & Access:** Pennington Mine Lake is a 62-acre lake located in Ironton, Crow Wing County, in scenic north-central Minnesota. The public boat launch is conveniently situated at Miner's Mountain Rally Center, just north of Ironton, with easy walkway access from the parking lot down to the water's edge.

**Lake Characteristics:** This is a deep lake with a maximum depth of 259 feet, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The straightforward launch facility provides reliable access for paddlers and anglers alike. Note that swimming is discouraged at the boat landing dock area itself, as this is a working public boat ramp.

**Getting There:** The access point is easy to locate and offers convenient parking near the water. Paddlers should be prepared for a relatively deep lake environment and check conditions before launching, particularly if paddling in smaller craft.
