Perch Lake

**Location & Access:** Perch Lake Recreation Area is located approximately 5.5 miles north of Drummond, Wisconsin on Forest Road 223 (Delta Drummond Road) in Bayfield County. The access site features a developed boat ramp and dock on the 72-acre lake, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats.

**Facilities & Amenities:** This rustic, 0.81-acre launch area is part of the larger Perch Lake Campground, which offers 16 campsites across two loops. The North Loop includes the boat launch, dock, toilet facilities, and water access. The site is day-use friendly and well-suited for paddlers looking for a straightforward launch point. Note that swimming is not permitted at the park.

**Recreation Opportunities:** Perch Lake is well-known for fishing, with populations of panfish, largemouth bass, and trout. The lake's maximum depth of 63 feet provides good paddling conditions. The North Loop has a toilet building, water, 10 single-family sites, boat launch, dock and small parking area for up to five vehicles with trailers. This loop is family-friendly located in a stand of hemlocks. There is also an area where campers can access the lake for swimming.The South Loop has water, six single-family sites and a double vault toilet building. This loop provides a quieter camping experience.Some sites can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. A developed boat ramp provides access to a 72-acre lake that contains trout, panfish and largemouth bass.Nearby attractions include the Rainbow Lake Wilderness, the North Country National Scenic Trail, trout fishing in the White River, the Rust-Owen Reservoir and the CAMBA mountain bike trails.
