The Perkofski Boat Launch at Brown County Fairgrounds offers excellent access to the Lower Fox River with a modern five-lane ramp designed to handle heavy use. The facility features three floating docks, ample trailer and vehicle parking, restroom facilities, and picnic areas with pavilions—making it well-suited for day trips and group outings. This is a popular launch point for both motorboats and paddlers exploring the Lower Fox River.
The Fox River at this location is a substantial waterway (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of 2,347 cubic feet per second and moderate gradient of 2.4 ft/mile. Paddlers launching here can expect a large river with steady current. Many kayakers and canoeists use this access point to paddle upstream toward the De Pere Lock or explore the wider, slower sections of the Lower Fox. The river's size makes it suitable for various skill levels, though paddlers should be prepared for the river's current and any motorboat traffic common at this well-developed launch facility.
