The Perryville Public Boat Ramp is a well-maintained town facility located on the Susquehanna River just north of the US Route 40 (Hatem) Bridge in Cecil County. The ramp features two hard-surface launching lanes, courtesy docks, and restroom facilities. Parking is convenient with approximately 18 spaces in the dedicated lot right next to the ramp and additional overflow parking across the street.
**Important permit information:** Kayakers and canoeists can launch free of charge without a permit, making this an excellent access point for paddlers. However, boaters using trailers to launch motorboats must obtain an annual permit from Perryville Town Hall. The ramp is ideally positioned near the mouth of the Susquehanna River, offering paddlers access to this major tidal waterway. The site is adjacent to Garrett Island Wildlife Observation Area, providing scenic views and wildlife viewing opportunities. The nearby Canning House Run Trail offers a pleasant walking option with excellent river vistas.
