Pickerel Lake

Pickerel Lake in Rochert, Becker County offers a public boat ramp ideal for paddlers and small watercraft enthusiasts. This 108-acre lake with a maximum depth of 11 feet is well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and small fishing boats. The access site features good parking availability and serves as the primary launch point for the lake. Note that wheelchair accessibility is limited at this location.

This is a no-fee access area managed by the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department. The lake is popular for non-motorized boating and shoreline fishing. Nearby recreation opportunities include the Detroit Lakes Wetland Management District and Hamden Slough National Wildlife Refuge, which offer excellent wildlife viewing and additional paddling or hiking options in the area. There are no restroom facilities or picnic areas at the ramp, so plan accordingly before launching.
