About This Access Site
Pickerel Lake Boat Ramp provides public access to 581-acre Pickerel Lake, located in the Nicolet National Forest area of Forest County, Wisconsin. The paved boat ramp on the south side of the lake offers convenient launch access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. With a maximum depth of 17-19 feet, the lake is suitable for paddling and recreational boating throughout the year.

The lake supports a diverse fishery including panfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and musky, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. Nearby Richardson Lake Campground (reservable through Recreation.gov at 715-674-4481) offers 26 campsites on Richardson Lake about 3 miles away via Highway 52 and Forest Road 2880, providing convenient overnight accommodation for visitors. From Wabeno, take Highway 32 north 0.8 miles to Highway 52, then continue west 2.4 miles to Richardson Lake Road for campground access.
