Pigeon Lake at the Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area offers a scenic paddling and boating destination in northeastern Indiana near Angola. This 12,134-acre protected area provides access to 529 acres of lakes and 17 miles of the Pigeon River itself. The ramp location is convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and electric motor boats onto Pigeon Lake, with nearby fishing opportunities at popular spots including Troxel Lake, Beaver Dam Lake, and the Mongo Millpond.

**Practical Information:** Electric motors are permitted on the lakes and ponds. Parking is available in designated lots only. Basic amenities include pit toilets at the park headquarters and Curtis Creek Trout Rearing Station. For supplies or fuel, Mongo, Indiana has a convenience station with a gas pump and snacks. There are no paved trails throughout the area, but quiet roads are accessible for those who want to explore beyond the water.
