About This Access Site
The Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area boat ramp at Fish Lake provides access to a 12,134-acre protected recreation area in northeastern Indiana near Goshen. This site offers a dedicated boat launch for anglers and paddlers looking to explore Fish Lake and the broader Pigeon River system, which features 17 miles of river and 529 acres of lakes and impoundments. Electric motors are permitted on the lakes and ponds throughout the area, making this a good option for both motorized and non-motorized boating.

Parking is available in designated lots at the access area. Beyond paddling, the site is part of a multi-use facility offering fishing (including trout stocking on the Pigeon River), hunting, hiking, and picnic areas. The surrounding landscape includes hardwoods, wetlands, and upland fields. Popular nearby fishing destinations within the area include Troxel Lake, Beaver Dam Lake, and the Mongo Millpond, as well as Martin Memorial Marsh on Shallow Lake. Note that hunting and fishing require appropriate licenses and permits.
