About This Access Site
Pine Tree Landing is a public boat ramp access site located on Puncheon Creek in Georgetown County, SC. The facility includes a parking area, dock, and boat ramp situated on the north side of the Black River along a side channel—note that it's not easily visible from the main river channel. Access is via Pine Tree Landing Road off Big Dam Swamp Road (State Road 38).

The Black River is a major river system with steady flow suitable for paddlers and motorboats. With an average flow of over 10,500 cubic feet per second and a gentle gradient of approximately 1.5 feet per mile, the river offers moderate current conditions typical of coastal plain streams in the region. Pine Tree Landing provides convenient access for exploring this section of the river, with Pea House Landing approximately 5 river miles downstream if you're planning a shuttle trip.
