**Location & Facilities**
Piso Point Road provides mid-lake access on the north shore of Lake Wappapello, offering a single-lane concrete ramp with paved parking. This is one of two primary launch points on the 8,400-acre reservoir and provides good access to the northern sections of the lake. The nearby Rockwood Point Day Use area requires an activity pass for access.
**Paddling & Boating Conditions**
Lake Wappapello is a 45,000-acre recreational reservoir nestled in the Ozark foothills along the St. Francis River, offering calm, protected waters ideal for kayaking and canoeing. The lake is well-known for fishing, with productive areas including Piso Point itself, making it a good destination for mixed-use recreation. If you prefer a two-lane ramp with additional amenities, People's Creek Boat Launch on the northeast corner of the lake offers a dock facility. Snow Creek Campground is available for overnight stays within 10 miles, and the nearby Mingo National Wildlife Refuge provides scenic paddling opportunities in a unique ecosystem.
