Placid Lake State Park offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing this 33-acre kettle lake located southwest of Seeley Lake in Missoula County. The hard-surface ramp is situated inside the main park and accommodates both trailered boats and hand-launched watercraft, with parking available for approximately 20 vehicles and trailers. This is an excellent access point for kayakers and canoeists seeking a scenic paddling destination.
The lake welcomes all non-motorized watercraft, including kayaks and canoes, as well as motorized boats. The water body is stocked with westslope cuthroat trout, making it popular with anglers in addition to paddlers. Montana State Parks manages the facility with a range of campsite options (hike/bike, rustic, tent, RV, and boatslip sites available).
