Plum Lake

The Plum Lake ramp in Sayner provides public access to this scenic 1,057-acre lake in Vilas County. Located on County Highway P on the south side of the lake, this is one of two public launch points available (the other being at Wilderness Park on the east side). The ramp is easily accessible for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the lake.

Plum Lake features moderately clear water and reaches depths of up to 57 feet, making it suitable for various water activities. The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, northern pike, walleye, and bass, so anglers often use this access point. Given the lake's size and recreational popularity, paddlers should be prepared for potential motorboat traffic, particularly during peak seasons. The south-side location on County Highway P offers convenient road access for launching your watercraft.
