The Port of Brownsville Marina provides a well-maintained public boat launch facility on Burke Bay (Port Orchard Waterway) in Bremerton, conveniently positioned between Bremerton and Poulsbo. The site features large boat ramps suitable for launching various watercraft, including kayaks and canoes. A modern breakwater system completed in the late 1990s offers excellent protection and creates a sheltered approach to the water, making this a reliable access point in varied weather conditions.
The approach features cobble beaches accessible from both north and south. Boaters approaching from the north should note the walkway to the breakwater, which requires gliding underneath to reach the beach. The facility offers ample parking, fuel, electrical and water hookups at moorage sites, and includes accessible facilities via an electrically operated ramp rider on the North and East breakwaters. This makes it a practical launching point for day trips on Burke Bay or longer explorations of the Port Orchard Waterway.
