About This Access Site
**Access & Facilities**
Potanipo Lake's boat ramp in Brookline offers convenient access via a concrete launch facility located on Mason Road, just before the bridge crossing. The ramp is easy to use and suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. From Route 13, turn onto Mason Road and look for the ramp on the second right.

**Water Body Overview**
Potanipo Pond is a 136-acre lake in the Appalachian Mountains region of southern New Hampshire. The water body connects to the Nissitissit River and Talbot Brook, offering paddlers options for exploration beyond the main lake. Note that personal watercraft (skicrafts) have been banned since 1990, and the lake does see recreational motorboat activity. The surrounding area includes approximately 20-25 residential properties, so expect some development along the shoreline.

**Recreation Nearby**
The nearby Wapack National Wildlife Refuge, New Hampshire's first wildlife refuge established in 1972, provides additional outdoor recreation opportunities in the region. This location offers good access for a casual paddle close to the Brookline area.
