Potato Lake is a large 2,096-acre lake in Park Rapids with a maximum depth of 87 feet, offering plenty of water for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. This access site is one of two public launch points on the lake—a state-owned facility on the north shore and a county-owned access on the west arm. Most ramps can accommodate 12–18 foot boats, though some may handle larger vessels. Boats can also be launched from the inlet river connecting to Eagle Lake for additional paddling opportunities.
The lake's size and depth make it suitable for various water activities, though paddlers should be prepared for potential wind conditions on the open water. There are no launch fees at this access point unless the site requires a vehicle permit. For current conditions, hours, or specific amenities available at this particular ramp, check with local park offices or the Minnesota DNR before your visit.
