Powers Lake is a 1,639-acre water body located in Burke County, North Dakota, offering a boat ramp and dock facility on the southeast side of the lake. The ramp provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. With a maximum depth of 11 feet, the lake is suitable for recreational paddling and fishing. Note that the ramp may experience seasonal closures or reduced usability during spring and summer maintenance periods, so check current conditions before planning your visit.
The access site includes a vault toilet facility and is located near a recreation park with camping amenities, including 12 RV sites (8 with electricity), showers, and a dump station. This makes Powers Lake an ideal destination for a multi-day paddling or fishing trip. The nearby Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge, designated as a Globally Important Bird Area, offers excellent opportunities for wildlife observation during your visit. Plan ahead during warmer months, as construction work may temporarily affect ramp access.
