Powers Lake is a 1,639-acre recreational lake in Burke County, North Dakota, offering a dedicated boat ramp for convenient water access. The ramp is located on the southeast side of the lake and serves as the primary launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. With a maximum depth of 11 feet, the lake provides calm, protected paddling conditions ideal for recreational boating and fishing. A vault toilet facility is available at the access site.
The area includes nearby camping and day-use facilities, with a recreation park offering RV sites (some with electricity), tent camping, showers, a fishing pier, and a dock. Spring and summer maintenance work may occasionally affect ramp usability, so check current conditions before your visit. The lake's relatively shallow depth and expansive surface area make it suitable for paddlers of all skill levels. The nearby Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge adds to the area's appeal for wildlife viewing and offers excellent bird-watching opportunities during your visit.
