Providence Access provides a concrete boat ramp and parking area for paddlers and boaters launching onto Perche Creek in Columbia, Missouri. Located 4 miles south of Columbia via Route K, then 2.5 miles west on Old Plank Road, this access point connects Perche Creek to the Missouri River, making it a convenient starting point for downstream paddling on one of the nation's largest free-flowing rivers. Free parking is available at the site.
This access is particularly useful for paddlers planning trips along the lower Missouri River corridor, which encompasses nearly 1.5 million acres of bottomland habitat managed through the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. Boaters should note that Chapter 11 of Missouri's Wildlife Code applies to this area. The concrete ramp facilitates launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats, making it suitable for both day trips and longer river expeditions.
