About This Access Site
Puskus Lake offers a peaceful, remote setting for paddlers, anglers, and boaters. The 96-acre lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish, making it a popular destination for fishing. A concrete boat ramp provides access to the water, although it may be fairly steep for smaller vehicles.

For non-motorized boaters, the lake provides a calm, protected environment well-suited for kayaking and canoeing. Paddlers can explore the shoreline and take in the natural scenery. A fishing pier is available for those who prefer to fish from shore.

Facilities at the Puskus Lake Recreation Area include 19 campsites, 13 picnic sites, and a 1-mile hiking trail. Restrooms are located near the parking areas. Visitors should come prepared, as there is no attendant on-site, and the area is described as fairly remote with minimal modern conveniences.
