About This Access Site
Pyramid Lake's Emigrant Landing Day Use Area offers excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and other small boaters. The site features an expansive 8-lane boat ramp, providing ample space to launch your craft onto the lake. Emigrant Landing is located just off Interstate 5, making it a convenient option for boaters in the Los Angeles area.

The lake itself is a popular destination for a variety of water sports, including fishing, water skiing, and wakeboarding. While swimming is permitted in designated areas, fishing from the docks or boat ramp is prohibited. Visitors should note that Pyramid Lake is a reservoir, rather than a free-flowing river, and its size and character may differ from a typical river or stream.

Amenities at the Emigrant Landing Day Use Area include picnic tables, flush toilets, and a marina with boat rentals. However, the site does not offer overnight camping - for those interested in extended stays, there are two campgrounds located within 10 miles of the lake. Overall, Emigrant Landing provides an accessible and well-equipped launch point for exploring the recreational opportunities of Pyramid Lake.
