About This Access Site
Quanset Pond Town Landing in Orleans provides convenient public access to Quanset Pond for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. Located at the end of Harrington Street, this town-managed facility offers a straightforward launch point for exploring the pond and surrounding waters. Parking is available nearby, though note that no parking is permitted on either side of Harrington Street, on the northeast shoulder of the ramp, or between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

This access point positions paddlers well for exploring Cape Cod's rich coastal environment. The landing provides gateway access to the broader Salt Pond and Nauset Marsh area, which are part of the Cape Cod National Seashore—featuring 40 miles of protected sandy beaches, salt marshes, and scenic ponds. The nearby Salt Pond Visitor Center (approximately 25 miles east of Hyannis on Route 6) offers trip planning resources, orientation films, and information about local paddling conditions and ranger-guided activities. The area also provides proximity to Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, making this a solid base for exploring Cape Cod's diverse paddling opportunities.
