Located on Pensacola Beach Boulevard (CR 399) near the causeway, Quietwater Beach Wayside offers convenient access to Pensacola Bay for small boats and personal watercraft. The facility features a double-wide ramp that extends onto sand bottom, with approximately 15-20 parking spaces available. When approaching from the north, look for small pavilions on the right beachside—the entrance is located shortly after. Note that this is a stand-alone ramp with portable restrooms but no courtesy docks.
This government-owned access point works well for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters exploring the calm waters of Pensacola Bay. The sandy bottom provides straightforward launching conditions, though paddlers should plan accordingly based on tide levels. The nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore offers excellent paddling opportunities with scenic white beaches and emerald waters. Several campgrounds are within 10 miles, including Fort Pickens Campground (reservable) and Naval Live Oaks Youth Group Camping, making this an ideal base for multi-day paddling trips in the area.
