About This Access Site
Raccoon Creek Boat Ramp provides access to Guntersville Lake and Raccoon Creek in northeastern Alabama. This launch site is located just off Alabama Highway 69, about 5 miles north of Stevenson.

The ramp features three stationary docks, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. However, there are no lights or restroom facilities at this access point. Boaters and paddlers should come prepared with any necessary equipment and supplies.

Guntersville Lake is a large reservoir on the Tennessee River, with over 900 miles of shoreline. The lake offers a variety of paddling and boating opportunities, from calm coves to open water. Raccoon Creek itself is a smaller, more intimate waterway, winding through the forested hills of the Cumberland Plateau. Paddlers may encounter some current, especially after heavy rains, but the creek generally provides a peaceful, scenic float.
