Ramp E provides boat access to Lake Edgar A. Brown, a 100-acre recreational lake located southeast of Barnwell in Barnwell County. This access point features a single-lane boat ramp with dirt parking and is handicapped accessible, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The lake is managed by the South Carolina Department of Recreation and offers a calm-water paddling environment ideal for recreational use.
Lake Edgar A. Brown supports diverse fishing opportunities including largemouth bass, bluegill, shell-cracker, and catfish, though a portion of the lake is designated for boating and water skiing. In addition to Ramp E, the lake has other access points at the north and south parking lots off Wellington Road (the lake's center crossroad) and at the far northern end near Black Road, giving paddlers flexibility in their launch options. The site also features fishing piers and walking paths around the shoreline, making it a well-developed recreational destination.
