Located in Moravia in southern Iowa's Appanoose County, Rathbun Marina provides boat access to the 11,000-acre Rathbun Lake in the scenic Chariton River Valley. The facility features a concrete boat ramp, dock, and marina services, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. On-site amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, and a dump station for convenience.

This access point serves as an excellent base for exploring one of Iowa's largest recreational lakes, situated in gently rolling hills with abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. The area is well-developed for recreation, with playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and nearby bait and tackle services. With over 700 campsites available around the lake, this makes an ideal launching point for multi-day paddling trips or day outings on the water.
