Rebel's Cove Conservation Area

Located in Livonia, Putnam County, this public boat ramp provides access to the Chariton River within the Rebel's Cove Conservation Area. The ramp is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small flat-bottomed boats. The site is open to the public for a variety of water-based activities including boating, fishing, and nature observation.

The Chariton River in this section offers approximately 10 miles of floatable water between Rebel's Cove and the Archangel Access point (Highway 136) to the south. This stretch is known for good fishing opportunities. Paddlers should be aware that the river has varying conditions, so checking current water levels and flow before launching is recommended. The conservation area allows public use of boats and motors, making it accessible for both paddle and motorized vessels.
