Recreation Area #4 North offers a well-maintained single-lane concrete boat ramp with dock access, located mid-lake at the North D & D Campground off Park Road 36. The ramp accommodates all boat types and is accessible across a wide range of water levels, making it reliable year-round for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Paved parking is available at the site.
This access point serves Possum Kingdom Lake, a calm reservoir ideal for recreational boating with scenic shoreline views. The larger Recreation Area #4 complex includes approximately 125 campsites split across FM 2951, with quality restroom facilities and amenities throughout the park. Day-use fees apply seasonally ($3/person weekends and holidays mid-May through mid-September; children under 13 free). This is one of nine ramps around the lake, making it a popular choice for launching paddlecraft and powerboats in the Palo Pinto County area.
