Recreation Area #6

**Location & Facilities**
Recreation Area #6 is a multi-lane concrete boat ramp located mid-lake off FM Road 2951 near Graford in Palo Pinto County. The facility features a dock, paved parking, and restroom facilities, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. No boat permits or ramp fees are required to launch.

**Water Access & Conditions**
This ramp is well-designed for versatility—it accommodates all boat types and remains accessible even during higher water levels on Possum Kingdom Lake, a major reservoir on the Brazos River. The reliable access across varying water conditions makes it a dependable launch point for paddlers planning trips on the lake or downstream sections of the river. A $3 per-person day-use fee applies on weekends and holidays from mid-May through mid-September (children under 13 are free).

The nearby Possum Kingdom Hike & Bike Trail offers scenic overlooks including Johnson's Peak and Longhorn Lookout, making this an excellent base for a full day of water and land-based recreation in the area.
