Red Bridge

Red Bridge is a boat ramp facility located on scenic Mississinewa Lake near Somerset in Wabash County. The access point provides launch capability for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to explore Mississinewa Lake and the Mississinewa River. Red Bridge Marina, operated at the site, offers amenities including slip rentals, boat rentals, fuel, and concessions to support your outing.

Mississinewa Lake is a scenic reservoir with historical significance—its name derives from the Miami Indian word "Mis-chis-in-wah," meaning "water on a slope." The lake provides a good paddling destination with access to both the reservoir and river sections. When planning your visit, be aware that the Old Frances Slocum Trail and certain county roads on the north side of the lake near Frances Slocum State Recreation Area are currently closed, which may affect some access routes to the area.
