Red Haw Lake's East ramp provides convenient water access near Chariton in Lucas County. Located approximately 1 mile east of Chariton on the south side of Highway 34, this ramp is part of a well-developed park facility with ample parking and day-use amenities including shelters, picnic areas, and restrooms. The lake operates under "no wake" speed restrictions, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft.
The park offers two boat ramps for water access, with the East ramp conveniently positioned near the main campground area. This location works well as a launch point for exploring the lake, and the Lake Loop trail provides an alternative way to access shoreline areas. Additional facilities at the site include a full campground with 80 camping units (many with electrical hookups), a trailer dumping station, and shower facilities—making this a practical base for multi-day paddling trips.
