About This Access Site
The Redinger Lake Boat Ramp provides easy access to Redinger Lake and the San Joaquin River in the Sierra National Forest. This concrete boat launch is a popular spot for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats.

Redinger Lake is a reservoir on the San Joaquin River, offering a calm, flat water environment for paddling and small motorized boats. The lake is situated in a scenic alpine setting surrounded by forested hills. Fishing for trout, bass, and other species is also a popular activity on the lake.

The Redinger Boating Site is open to the public and does not require reservations. Nearby recreation areas include the San Joaquin River Gorge Visitor Center, which is open on weekends and offers information about the surrounding natural landscape. Campsites are available at several campgrounds within 10 miles of the boat ramp. Boaters and paddlers should be aware of any current water levels or conditions before heading out on Redinger Lake.
