Rich Creek Boat Ramp provides free access to Yatesville Lake, a 2,242-acre reservoir in Eastern Kentucky's Cumberland Plateau region. The facility features a paved boat ramp managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is conveniently located off Highway 32 in Adams, Lawrence County. This is an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the lake's main body and connected waterways including Pleas Creek.
The surrounding area offers excellent recreational amenities, including Yatesville Lake State Park Marina with camping facilities, hiking trails, and a golf course nearby. The campground features 16 boat-in sites and 4 hike-in sites, making it convenient for multi-day paddling trips. An additional boat ramp is available at the campgrounds if needed. The lake's riprap-lined banks and jetty areas are popular fishing spots, particularly for channel catfish, so expect to share the water with anglers during peak seasons.
