About This Access Site
The Richard B. Russell State Park Coldwater Ramp provides access to the scenic Lake Richard B. Russell along the Savannah River in Elbert County, Georgia. This large 26,650-acre reservoir offers excellent fishing and boating opportunities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters.

The boat ramp is located within Richard B. Russell State Park, which provides a range of recreational amenities including cabins, hiking trails, and a golf course. The ramp itself is suitable for launching a variety of watercraft, from small kayaks and canoes to larger motorboats. While the park and ramp are open to the public, reservations are not required.

Paddlers and boaters should be aware that Lake Richard B. Russell is a sizable man-made reservoir, with the potential for larger waves and wakes from motorized vessels.
