Richards Townsite offers convenient public access to Lake Winnibigoshish, one of Minnesota's largest lakes at over 67,000 acres. **Access & Location:** From Cass Lake, take Highway 2 west toward Bena, then turn north on Forest Road #2074 for approximately one mile. The area is well-suited for day trips, with nearby camping options at Winnie Campground and Tamarack Point Campground within 10 miles. Anglers and recreational boaters frequent this access point year-round, with winter access available via plowed roads when conditions permit.
